Sujangarh is famous for the Tirupati Balaji Venkateswara Temple (South Indian-style replica in Rajasthan), Sri Devsagar Singhee Jain Mandir, proximity to Tal Chhapar Blackbuck Sanctuary, and being the nearest railhead for the Salasar Balaji Temple pilgrimage.
October to March is best, with pleasant temperatures (5-28 C). This is also ideal for wildlife viewing at Tal Chhapar. Summers (April-June) are extremely hot, exceeding 45 C.
Approximately 30 km via SH 20, about 35-40 minutes by taxi or auto-rickshaw. Regular buses also connect the two towns.
By train: Direct trains from Jaipur to Sujangarh Station (4-5 hrs). By road: 230 km via NH 52/NH 65 (4 hrs drive). Regular buses from Jaipur's Sindhi Camp bus stand.
Absolutely. One of Rajasthan's best places to see blackbucks in the wild with guaranteed sightings. Excellent for birdwatching in winter when migratory raptors arrive.
Budget and mid-range hotels are available. For more options, consider staying in Salasar (30 km) or Churu (45 km). Dharamshalas available for budget visitors.
